Yumichika WIP part 1

Hello guys! Desucon Frostbite is getting closer and closer by the day... And I'm still working on the costumes. Ahem. Yes, I'm a slowpoke. The biggest project now is Amelia's jacket, ears and shoes... But this post isn't about those. This time I thought I'd upload some pictures of Yumichika's sword, Ruri'Iro Kujaku, and explain how I made it. :)

This is a normal toy sword I bought from Punanaamio. It was something like 4 euros, so no biggie. The whole sword was originally ugly grey color, except for the tips. Then I took everything off and spray-painted the handle golden. While it was drying up, I started to work with the Cernit mass.

Cernit is a modeling glay that hardens in the oven, if someone can't tell from the picture. :D I like using Cernit and there's lots of it in my closet lol. So I made the pommel while waiting for the sword's paint to dry. While the Cernit-pommel wasn in the oven, I also made the lilac string for the handle. Then some hot glue and paint before I just put everything together.

Tadaaah. Now I has a Ruri'Iro Kujaku. Next time I'll probably post something about Amelia's costume since I finished the gloves today and am working on the jacket at the moment. ......Guess I'll get back to work then. *sigh* SO MUCH TO DOOOOOO! AND ONLY 4 DAYS BEFORE THE CON ASDFGHJK! ...Slightly panicking, yes. xD

Desucon Frostbite cosplays

It's a bit under two weeks until the next con aka Desucon Frostbite. I'm somewhat panicking since well, only one out of my three costumes is in a state of almost done. Ehehehehe... I will still be sewing the night before the con again, I guess. I'm never learning. :C Aaaanyways. Like I said, I have three different costumes to this year's Frostbite.

Abel Nightroad(Trinity Blood), Captain Amelia(Treasure Planet) and Yumichika Ayasegawa(Bleach). Abel's costume is pretty much done, except for the cape-thingy. So there's really no panic with it, luckily. But then... *sigh* I still don't have Amelia's jacket done, nor her shoes, ears and gloves. Only things ready are the wig, pants and the shirt. Tho it's better than nothing, I guess. Yumichika's Shihakusho's upper part is ready, but I need more fabric for the lower part(aka wnb-pants)... Shoes haven't arrived yet and I'm working on his sword at the moment. Oh and those damned feathers! I couldn't find any red feathers the last time I was in the city! Seriously, what the heck?! I thought Tiimari would have red feathers, but NOPE. Damnit. BC .....I'll probably put up some pics of the sword when I get it ready, but for now have some WIP pics of all these three cosplays~!

.....Don't get confused of the brown wig I have on that Amelia WIP. The right wig hadn't still arrived when I took that picture. And on Yumichika WIP... Well, I was too lazy to put on the right wig. xD Abel's pretty much ready and I wore it on last Tracon so yeaaaaaaah. I'm just blabbering, aren't I? Maybe I should get back to the sword. Laters then~! :D

So here we go.

It's been some time since I last had an active blogger blog... But now I decided to do the cosplay blog I've been wishing for a long long time. Mostly it'll be me who will be appearing on this blog, but my roommie is doing some cosplays too so I might just go paparazzi on her and put some pics here. :D So yeah. I hope someone will enjoy this blog at least. Lol. Let's get started, shall we?
